It's all hit or miss,
so just swing the bat, so we

bones or just hearts or

nothing at all.

We danced together, hips so close
that they cracked against
as we swished and swayed,
and you whispered
these words that made me believe
they were more than words,
they were more than lies.
I couldn't hear it...
...could you?

We drank so deep
that I could see Dionysis dancing
there on the sofa
with the satyrs
and the lithe, little nymphs,
and I would yell
so loud the neighbors could hear,
so loud the earth could shake.
I couldn't hear it...
...could you?

Well, it's all hit or miss,

it's better to
break it all or
